By Oregon Golf Association

115th-Oregon-Am-Day-1-Adam-HarringtonDay 2 of stroke play is complete and the match play field is set. Adam Harrington (-7, 135) of Portland and Brady Turnquist (+2, 144) of Oregon City earned Medalist honors and the top seed in each bracket. The Men's field required extra holes as a seven (7) for four (4) playoff was completed on Wednesday morning with JC Riter, Brooks Newsom, Mason Bratcher, and Daniel Kirkham securing the final seeds in the bracket.

Following a wet and cool Day 1, the summer weather made an appearance that is expected to last for the remainder of the championship. The course at Oswego Lake continues to demand accuracy especially on approaches as competitors aimed to keep the ball below the hole. The course will continue to get increasingly firm and fast as temperatures rise and the week progresses.

For the first time, each champion will earn an exemption into the U.S. Amateur Championship so there is a lot on the line as we enter match play.
