Competition continues as we moved into match play with the round of 64 being completed for both the Men and Women in the 114th Oregon Amateur Championship. Unfortunately, it was a tough day for past champions as a few failed to advance to the round of 32.
- Jack Rodewald defeated Spencer Tibbits, 1 up
- Tyson Campbell defeated Robbie Ziegler, 2 up
- Emily Lackershire defeated Amanda Jacobs, 3 & 1
Fun Fact: Nigel Lett arrived minutes before his starting time after serving Jury Duty and went on to win 5 & 3.
The 40th Oregon Senior Women’s Championship also kicked off with past Champ and Pumpkin Ridge Member, Loree McKay winning medalist honors. As previously mentioned, Lara Tennant earned the #2 seed in match play by winning the 2022 event.
PNGA Hall of Famer and former Curtis Cup Captain, Mary Budke, looks to continue her storied amateur career after also advancing to match play.
