Stroke Play Recap: 93rd Bob Norquist Oregon Junior Amateur Championship

By Oregon Golf Association

After two days of stroke play with 88 boys and 30 girls competing in the Open Division, Medalists have been determined and match play brackets are set.

Drew Woolworth (2026, Lake Oswego, OR) earned Medalist honors in the Boys division with a total of 141 (-3) to finish as the only player under par. Finishing in a tie for 2nd was Jack Harrington with a total of 144 (E). Harrington recently advanced into match play for the Oregon Amateur and also qualified for US Junior Am.

Jade Gruher (2023, Camas, WA) earned Medalist honors in the Girls division with a total of 151 (+7) to edge Kate Ly (2026, Portland, OR) by one shot. Gruher continues her stellar play having defeated reigning Oregon Women’s Amateur champion, Victoria Gailey, in match play during the 114th Oregon Amateur Championship.

Fun fact: Kate Ly is the younger sister of Kyra Ly, who won the 114th Oregon Amateur Championship at Pumpkin Ridge last week. Can the Ly family make it two in a row?

The match play portion of the championship consists of 2 rounds Wednesday, 2 rounds Thursday (quarter and semi finals), and finally an 18-hole championship match on Friday. Good luck to all competitors!
