Location: Tualatin Country Club
After a week of thrilling competition at one of Oregon’s most historic venues, the 116th Oregon Amateur Championship has crowned its champions. Zach Foushee made history by winning his third consecutive title, a feat not achieved since 1932 by Frank Dolp, while Kyra Ly added a second Oregon Amateur crown to her name with a dominant run through match play. Both champions navigated a grueling stretch of quarterfinals, semifinals, and 36-hole finals at Tualatin Country Club through difficult conditions and as the championship-ready golf course tested every facet of their game.
Men’s ChampionshipQuarterfinals
Zach Foushee continued his relentless march through the bracket, defeating friend and U.S. Amateur Four-Ball partner Robbie Ziegler, 4&3. Boise State standout Cole Rueck took a commanding early lead and closed out a 3&2 win over Brock Maulding, while recent high school graduate Jennings Oelke took down reigning Oregon Junior Amateur Champion Nilay Naik, 2&1. In the most dramatic match of the round, Taylor Klopp survived 22 holes before overcoming Jonathan Lai—the longest match of the championship.
Semifinals
Foushee faced a formidable opponent in Rueck, trailing after five holes before flipping the script by winning five of the next ten. On the other side of the bracket, Oelke delivered a clinic, losing only one hole and winning four straight from 10–12 to cruise past Klopp, 6&5.
Final: Foushee Makes History
With weather delays adding to the challenge on Friday, Saturday’s 36-hole final saw Zach Foushee square off against one of the youngest finalists in championship history, Jennings Oelke. Foushee came out blazing, winning six holes in the morning session without dropping a single one. He extended his lead early in the afternoon, and while Oelke made brief surges by winning the 4th and 6th holes, Foushee quickly responded—claiming the 8th, 9th, and 10th holes to seal a 10&8 victory.
By winning, Foushee becomes the first player since Frank Dolp in 1932 to win three consecutive Oregon Amateur titles. His road to the title included wins over Zach Wilson, Mason Ho, Landon Banks, Robbie Ziegler, Cole Rueck, and Jennings Oelke. He also earned medalist honors in stroke play qualifying.
Foushee’s victory secures his spot in the 2025 U.S. Amateur Championship, hosted at The Olympic Club in San Francisco from August 11–17.

Women’s ChampionshipQuarterfinals
The quarterfinal round featured a blend of youth, experience, and former champions. Yvonne Vinceri outlasted Vishaka Priyan in a see-saw battle, winning 2&1. Top remaining seed Elli Gordon needed extra holes but advanced with a clutch par on the 19th. Madeleine Conser, who just completed her high school sophomore season, took down match play veteran Gretchen Johnson, 3&2. In a rematch of past champions, 2023 winner Kyra Ly eliminated 2020 champ Amanda Jacobs, 2&1.
Semifinals
Yvonne Vinceri found herself 2 down through 4 holes but rallied to win four of the next five holes to go 2 up at the turn. After trading holes on the back nine, she sealed her 2&1 win over Gordon with victories on 16 and 17. Kyra Ly again showcased her experience and match play strength, taking control on the inward nine to defeat Conser, 3&2, and punch her ticket to the final.
Final: Ly Reclaims the Crown
Saturday’s 36-hole final featured two strong competitors: defending champion Kyra Ly and Yvonne Vinceri. Ly took a 2up advantage into the lunch break following the morning 18, then held steady in the afternoon as the players traded holes early. Ly gained separation with a win at the 11th hole before closing out the match on 14 with with a 5&4 victory, earning her second Oregon Amateur Championship.
Ly’s championship run included wins over Kristine Shin, Bayler Brundage, Amanda Jacobs, Madeleine Conser, and Vinceri. Her victory earns her a spot in the 2025 U.S. Women’s Amateur Championship, to be held at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort from August 4–10—the ninth USGA championship hosted there and the first-ever U.S. Women’s Amateur at the resort.

A Championship to Remember
The Oregon Golf Association extends its heartfelt thanks to the Tualatin Country Club staff, membership, and golf course improvement team for hosting under exceptional championship conditions especially with the inclement weather. From triple-cut, rolled greens to finely manicured approaches, the course was prepared to test the best—and it delivered.
We also thank the players, volunteers, and supporters who helped make the 116th Oregon Amateur Championship a week to remember.
Congratulations to Zach Foushee and Kyra Ly on their historic wins, and best of luck as they represent Oregon on the national stage at the U.S. Amateur and U.S. Women’s Amateur Championships later this summer.
