Golf + Giving: Create Local Impact for Junior Golfers

Giving Tuesday started in 2012 as a simple but powerful idea created by the 92nd Street Y in New York: after the rush of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, set aside a day that reminds us what truly matters — generosity, community, and supporting one another. What began as a small movement quickly grew into a global tradition, inspiring millions each year to give back in ways that strengthen their communities.

That mission mirrors what we work toward every day at OGA Junior Golf. As we reflect on 2025, we’re grateful for the incredible progress donors and supporters have helped us achieve. This year, we served 4,838 active junior members, who played 28,565 subsidized rounds at 72 participating courses across Oregon. Those rounds represent more than swings and scores — they’re opportunities for young people to build confidence, develop character, create friendships, and experience the lifelong joy of golf.

Giving Tuesday reminds us that when a community comes together with a shared purpose, meaningful impact follows. Whether it’s helping reduce barriers to participation or supporting the continual growth of our programs, your generosity directly empowers youth across Oregon to learn, play, and thrive through the game we all love.

This Giving Tuesday, we invite you to consider supporting the Oregon Junior Golf Fund — through a donation of any size or by simply sharing our mission with others. Every contribution helps create opportunities that resonate far beyond the golf course.

Thank you for helping us make the future brighter for Oregon’s junior golfers. Your support truly makes a difference.
