The 2025 OGA Junior Golf season brought together hundreds of talented junior golfers from across the region for a summer filled with competition, camaraderie, and countless memorable moments. With Major championships, team events, and Summer Series tournaments spread across the state, it was a year defined by grit, growth, and great golf.
This season featured 98 unique champions and co-champions, with 39 players earning multiple titles. Leading the way was Adam Kao, who claimed an incredible 6 victories in the Boys 8–11 Division. View full results from the 2025 OGA Junior Golf season >
Kicking Off with Team Competition
The championship season opened at Capitol City Golf Club in Lacey, Washington, with the North Pacific Junior Ladies event. Team OGA claimed victory over British Columbia and Washington with a team total of +12 across two rounds, winning by 9 strokes.
Individually, Madeleine Conser finished runner-up at 5-under par with rounds of 72–67. Other strong finishes included Alyssa Rigby (T4), Erika Kobayashi (T6), Lana Silvestri (T8), Hannah Wendorf (11th), and Vishaka Priyan (T15).
Early Major Moments
The first Major of the year, the Peter Jacobsen Junior Challenge at Emerald Valley Golf Club, set the tone. Lucas Vanderlip rallied with a scorching 2nd-round 68 to finish at 2-under and edge out Massimo Cereghino and Bryden Ditty in the Boys’ Open Division. On the Girls’ side, Madeleine Conser continued her stellar form with rounds of 74–69, winning by 9 strokes.
At the 95th Bob Norquist Oregon Junior Amateur at Juniper Golf Club, playoffs decided both medalists. Cade McVicker outlasted Davis Hartwell in the Boys’ Division, while Alyssa Rigby edged Conser after 4 playoff holes. Match play brought its own drama, with Sevren Quinn storming through to the final and ultimately defeating Owen Bascom 3&2 to claim the Boys’ title. On the Girls’ side, Conser rallied late in the championship match, winning the final 2 holes to defeat Rigby and secure the crown.
Stroke Play Battles
At the 28th Oregon Junior Stroke Play at Trysting Tree, Erika Kobayashi forced extra holes and prevailed with a par on the 2nd playoff hole to defeat Layla Sidhu. On the Boys’ side, Jake Rodgers closed with a 70 to take the title at 1-under.
The Central Willamette Junior Championship at Arrowhead Golf Club saw Conser continue her breakout year, winning by 4 strokes. In the Boys’ Division, Brody Landaker edged Jacob Parker by a single shot, despite Parker firing a 67 in the final round.
At the Portland City / Bob Allard Memorial Major, McVicker finished 2-under for a narrow win, while Wendorf captured her first Major with steady rounds in the 70s, winning by 6.
Central, Eastern & Southern Oregon Highlights
Momentum shifted at the Central Oregon Junior Championship at Meadow Lakes. Guanhao Lu posted back-to-back rounds in the 60s to finish 7-under, the only player with two sub-70 scores, while Kate Ly won the Girls’ Division by 8 strokes.
At the Eastern Oregon Junior Championship at Buffalo Peak, Andy Yang delivered a brilliant 65 in the final round to finish 5-under and secure victory. Sidhu held on to win the Girls’ Division by 2 strokes.
The Southern Oregon Junior Championship at Rogue Valley saw Landyn Lounsbury prevail in a playoff over Mateo Gramstad for the Boys’ title, while Silvestri earned her first Major with a 2-stroke victory.
Closing out the season, the Klamath Basin Junior Championship at Running Y Ranch belonged to Connor Holden, who fired two rounds in the 60s to finish at 9-under and win by 4. Hailey Lim earned her first Major with rounds of 73–68, winning by 10 strokes.
National & Team Showcases
Team OGA represented Oregon proudly on the national stage.
At the Girls’ Junior America’s Cup in Scottsdale, the team finished 6th at 2-under. Conser led the way in 12th, followed by Ly (16th), Kobayashi (T21), and Silvestri (T53).
Hosting the Boys’ Junior America’s Cup at Columbia Edgewater, Team OGA placed 4th with a +2 team total. Holden led with a 9th-place finish, while McVicker and Vanderlip tied for 19th and Ho tied for 21st.
At the 57th Eddie Hogan Cup Team Matches, Team OGA I, captained by Scott Baines, broke through with Oregon’s first Hogan Cup title in 6 years, finishing at 16-under. McVicker also captured the individual crown with rounds of 64–70, winning by 2 strokes.
Tournament of Champions
The season concluded with the invitation-only Charlotte’s Tournament of Champions at Illahe Hills Country Club. Lim capped her breakout year with another victory, shooting 77 to defeat Ly by 4 strokes. Meanwhile, Junior Amateur Champion Quinn added a second title, carding a 2-under 70.
