2025 OGA Junior Golf Winter Series Recap

The OGA Winter Series wrapped up on Sunday at Emerald Valley GC in Creswell, the seventh and final event over the last four and a half months. In total, there were 710 junior participants across those seven events, which took place from as far north as Pumpkin Ridge and as far south as Bandon Dunes. Here are some of the highlights: 

At Stone Creek GC in Oregon City on October 19, Connor Holden and Massimo Cereghino were co-champions in the Boys 15-18 division, while Kaylie Bae edged out Kate Ly and Amelia Kim by one stableford point in the Girls 15-18 division. Christian Harlow won the Boys 12-14 division and Sarah Lim took the crown of the Girls 12-14 division. In the Boys 8-11 division Adam Kao added another victory to his 2025 tally. A month later under rainy conditions, Alex Yang and Hailey Lim won the Boys 15-18 and Girls 15-18 divisions respectively at OGA Golf Course in Woodburn on November 16.  Brenden Cogburn and William Roland shared top honors in the Boys 12-14 division, while Poppy Leigh won the Girls 12-14. The weather held off for the most part at Bandon Dunes for the annual Winter Series and Adult-Child events on December 20 and 21. At Bandon Dunes for the individual event on Saturday, Jacob Loumena fired an even par 72 for top honors in the Boys 12-14 division, while Addison Birbeck carded a 78 to win the Girls 12-14 division. Adam Kao won his third straight Boys 8-11 event while Hattie Hollingsworth finished atop the Girls 8-11 division. The Adult-Child took place across four different courses on Sunday with the following teams coming out on top: Trevor and Paxton Hiebing (Old Macdonald), Scott and Braedon Millhouser (Pacific Dunes), Clare and Calvin Langford (Bandon Trails), and co-champions Mike and Hudson O’Connell, and Brad and Connor Holden (Bandon Dunes). Despite a frost delay at Willamette Valley CC in Canby on January 19, all players were able to finish by day’s end. The 9-holers were the first to finish their rounds, and tying for first in the Boys 8-11 division was Santana Popov and Joseph Hoang, while Iva Upadhyay finished first in the Girls 8-11. Iva’s older sister Ira won the Girls 12-14 division, while Justice Witkin took first in the Boys 12-14 division. Hannah Wendorf and Kate Ly shared top honors in the Girls 15-18 division while Cisse Noriyasu edged out reigning Boys Player of the Year Cade McVicker in the Boys 15-18 division. At Pumpkin Ridge in North Plains on February 16 Cisse Noriyasu won his second straight event in the Boys 15-18 division as did Ira Upadhyay in the Girls 12-14 division. Kate Ly was atop in the Girls 15-18 division, while Christian Harlow took first in the Boys 12-14 division. Among the 9-hole competitors Santana Popov was crowned champion of the Boys 8-11 division, while Gia Sakagawa was No. 1 in the Girls 8-11 division. Pumpkin Ridge Results >

Capping off the Winter Series at Emerald Valley in Creswell on March 1 saw Nathan Pai atop the Boys 15-18 leaderboard. Reigning Girls Player of the Year Madeleine Conser earned a victory in the Girls 15-18 division. Eugene residents Devin Roller and Paisley Johnson won the Boys 12-14 and Girls 12-14 divisions, respectively. In the Boys 8-11 division Santana Popov notched another win, while Hattie Hollingsworth won the Girls 8-11 division. Emerald Valley Results >
